Good point-if Bryanna is not going to start for a team that has a legit shot at the championship, she may not have a strong incentive to delay the start of her post graduate career.

As to the setters: I thought when we got to the NCAA's that Coach came up with a really great way to use BWeis; it changed the front line; it kept two tough servers in; I wondered if it worked so well because of the surprise or if it would have worked better if it had been institutionalized throughout the season rather than trying to pit the setters against each other. Looking at the bench at the NCAAs, it looked like both setters were extremely comfortable/supportive of each other in their roles.
As to the youngsters coming along: I remember when Dorton was a frosh, McClendon, and when Courtney was, that they both had bang-up first years. Oh, and Frantti, too. Not everyone does. From what I've seen, it is not completely correlated to MaxPreps or Gatorade rankings. Has more to do with making the transition not just to college ball but to the super-elite of college ball. Not everybody can make that leap in a year. From what I've heard Coach say, it's unpredictable and can be very disappointing. The players don't really reveal their readiness until August when training starts in earnest. Let's hope we have a few more of the Dorton-McClendon-Courtney-Frantti line!
