We've posted the video from the post-Stanford match press conference. For anyone who doubts the heart of Penn State players, watch Jonni Parker and Nia Reed, who ended the season the way they played all year: classy. Some fans should learn from them. Pretty powerful comments there by Russ. I think we have our leader for next year and I have no doubt they will work hard and bounce back stronger than ever. Thank you ladies for an exciting and entertaining 2018 season.

What or who was he referring to when he said someone missed the boat entirely?

What or who was he referring to when he said someone missed the boat entirely? Yeah?! Don't they have follow-ups at pressers? This is one of the things about Coach Rose that troubles me. If he's going to call someone out, do it. If not, wouldn't it be best to leave it by saying Nia got the message?

photos seem to reveal not a huge crowd. what's with that? I suppose I could look up stats on their average attendance. This left me puzzled.

I remember when she was a freshman, watching her leap during the warm-up drills. It was like she floated up, so effortless. Could not wait to see her play. No idea it would take to late 2017 to see her in all her glory. And hearing at one presser that she considered that 'each jump could be her last.' She made it through the season! Without sacrificing her body! With being so articulate, so grateful (hey, we're grateful to YOU), such a leader.

I have a reasonably good idea who he was talking about, but it could be one of two players. I suspect it was Leath. Could have been Weiskircher.

It's probably best that we don't know. If we did, what possible difference would it make?
Let's hope we have more success in 2019.

She didn’t have bad night and she’s apologizing to seniors. Think she could become good leader. Kendall is the fire. They also need a leader that can bring to calm and composure when things arnt going their way. Past teams have always had that. Not sure they had one this year

Now that I think back to those unbeatable psu teams. If I look at starters from those squads seems every single one had leadership qualities. That mixed with their talent made them a juggernaut.

I'm pretty sure that Stanford averages under 2,000 per match. So this was high for them.

For the Micha era teams my impression was that Micha and Dom were the leaders. Katie Slay could get ramped up also. Nia Grant, Ariel Scott & Megan Courtney were pretty quiet. Megan Courtney hated being int the spotlight. After the final against BYU (I think), she was asked how great it was to have a career night against them. She replied, "I guess", giving the impression, (and I think it was accurate), that she hadn't even thought about it. She was a consummate team player.

I was referring more to team of faucett harmatto do erico glass brown hodge Wilson teams Dom and micha were leaders in their era for sure If I’m not mistaken I think deja had it in her to get fired up You would think Washington with her personality would be great one. Weather she was or not idk

Unfortunately, I didn't start watching PSU until 2010 and so missed that whole era.
