Sophomore Courtney Buzzerio has played in all 53 sets this season and is second on the team with 146 kills and a team-high 19 service aces.

Vicki Brown was named Iowa's permanent head coach Sept. 26.
She was previously the Hawkeyes' associate head coach for two seasons.
[I was unaware of the staffing change. Anyone know what's up? I did note that the previous coach seemed to be a shouter. Felt uncomfortable sitting behind his team when I last saw them at Rec Hall. Can't remember the last time a coaching change was made mid-season. On the other hand, this brings us back to 2 women head coaches in the B1G, which we had slipped from 2 years ago when Indiana switched to Aird.
edit: well, easily found on-line. In May, University suspended Shymansky for providing an impermissible benefit (payment of rent) for one of his players two years before. They named Brown Interim HC shortly after. I imagine this has been hard as heck on the players.]

Bond Shymansky was fired due to one NCAA infraction.
Seemed harsh to me, considering all the other stuff going on in the NCAA, but it seems they wanted to make an example of him.
I'd say Vicki Brown is doing pretty good coaching the team this year; we'll see, in the future, if she can recruit.

Iowa is not very good and the sad thing is that we are not that much better. Making too many errors and mental mistakes that will make it difficult against the conference elites.
