Question for Ohio State is, is their starting setter(Hughes) still injured?

PSU's hitting percentage has dropped precipitously over the last few games. Seems like the only stat that's stayed pretty constant is their blocking.
The game starts at 3:00 PM here in the Mountain Times zone--it's Noon or 11:00 AM in Hawaii? Listening to Kiraly and Sunderland ought to be a treat.

Would rather have Deja instead of Sunderland. Need to start having Penn State Alumni commentating our matches. Tired of listening to Liz and Mark. Karaly was color commentator with Sam Gore in 2013 when we played Ohio State at Rec Hall. That match was a blow-out 9;11;16! Wasn't much different last year in both matches against them either.

Sunderland also does the Longhorn Network. At least with this games, he's getting the opportunity to see some quality volleyball on both sides of the net.

Wouldn't it be great if he said something about that!

Yeah, I've been following the hitting % stats on both sides of the net for PSU for the past couple years. It seems like the most telling stat of the teams strength. I too noticed that its dropping constantly. I hope its because Courtney is out and with her return will ease back up. Which commentator does the Women's National team games?

Yikes! The Conference-Only stats don't look good for Penn State, speaking comparatively. Although, if you take away the loss to that VB powerhouse Northwestern, they might look much better.

I agree that hitting percentage is a pretty good gauge and I like its "flip-side;" opponent hitting percentage. The differential seems to have a pretty good correlation with team success.

EYES WIDE OPEN So far announcers reflecting lack of prep: Courtney was injured in the Northwestern match, which Penn State lost, showing how important she bis to her team." No. "Penn State currently is ranked #11." No. Oh, and since when is Stanford not a "quality win"?
