I'm getting game not started on live stats. Is anyone getting the stats? Sidearm stats always disappoint; they don't work half the time.

I did not like the play-by-play announcer. She all but declared the Ohio State the winner on multiple occasions. Agreed. Sellman, according to them was the greatest thing since sliced bread. She good, but come on. They fell prey to the Howard Cosell falacy; when he was doing Monday Night football, every running back that week was the greatest running back ever. Oh well. A lot of announcers do that. Audrey Flaw generally isn't like that. Audrey Flaugh is always like that when it comes to Penn State. I've heard her do many Penn State matches over the years and it is always the same with her. I don't know who her partner was tonight, but she was openly cheering for Ohio State, as well. I do know that she played against Penn State during the streak. I think she might have played at Michigan.

Edit: I think I was mistaking Sidearm for another outfit that worked pretty good. I don't think most of the PSU matches have had sidearm.

My brother talked to her sister, and her sister said that she actually is a PSU fan to a degree. But tonight they got on the Sellman topic and just wouldn't let it go. Yes, she's a good story; 5'9" hitter with 27 kills, but get over it. I got really tired of hearing about it.
I was watching another match a week or two ago, and the announcer did the same thing as tonight a lot; praising the player of the team that lost the point. That's fine, once or twice, but it gets old more than that.
Edit: Yes, she played volleyball at MIchigan about 10 years ago.

I thought Sellman was really good and deserved the praise. OSU has a bunch of good players. If they make the NCAA tournament they could be trouble.

No, thankfully, most PSU matches use statbroadcast.

I think the 5'9" hitter was someone else. Sellman is listed at 6'4" and some have likened her to the next Ali Frantti. I was hoping PSU could land her, after watching her dominate in some US national team youth matches. I thought Sellman was really good and deserved the praise. OSU has a bunch of good players. If they make the NCAA tournament they could be trouble. Yes she was good and deserved praise. But not for 2 or 3 sets in a row. Enough already. I think Sellman, a freshman leading her team in kills, deserved the praise, at least just for this match.

OSU up 13-11. Free ball by PSU that OSU can't handle. OSU TO. So has anyone calculated Gill's hitting percentage?

A Win is a Win!!!
As the match wore on, I found myself increasingly holding my breath when we served. The "nerves" seemed to be impacting the team and definitely me.
I think the OSU strategy to wear down Jess by constantly serving to her will be a blueprint for other teams. She looked tired later in the match. I don't know the subbing rules, but I think she could have used a break once in a while when she was in the back row (IMHO).
Was good to see Alexa get some serious playing time. We need both her and CJ to perform well (and maybe be able to give Jess a break).
