Yikes! I hope this thread didn't cause Ruffda / Dr. Strangelove to quit Volleytalk. Hopefully Odin adds a few more "active" mods to the VT board. I am quitting. I knew this place was a joke, but after reading some of the comments at DigNittany's site, I now realize just how deep the contempt for my moderation is. I am one person. I am not paid. I am not perfect. I guess I suck as a Moderator. But the behavior on here, especially as of late, has been reprehensible. I don't want to be a part of it. I certainly don't want to be held responsible for it. I hope things get better. I hope you get someone who knows how to make this a better site. I don't. Adios. |

I have to say, that post by Strangelove/Doppleganger? was utterly perplexing to me: 1) I don't think there were many posts about VT mods on this site; and 2) however many there were, they were on this site. If I were to decide whether to continue this forum or DigNittanyVolleyball.com based on some of the comments on VT, I would quit in an instant. But that would make no sense. This does underscore a goal/aspiration I hope we all can meet: Let's keep our critiques of VTers to a minimum, and keep them low-key. VT offers a lot of positives. Let's focus on those. |

Volleytalk has let itself devolve into a cesspool of personal attacks and no longer a pinnacle of thoughtful intelligent volleyball discussions. The lack of standards by the moderators has let the place flush down the toilet.
