Leath is such a good passer. She is such a good get for us. I can't stress that enough.
Even with the No 1 recruiting class, without Leath, PSU would've been in the middle of the pack. With her, PSU has chance to compete for the conference title as well as the national Right now, I'll settle for PSU winning set two. 7-8 down. |

Navy keeps serving right at Leath and she's $$ every time with her passing.
My only complaint is that PSU are not terminal enough in their attack. Against tougher opponents this is going to be a problem.
Tied 13 all in set 2.

Now we can see Blossom's quality; the girl's got a lot of energy.
My only knock on Weiskircher is that she can be predictable at times.

Still bummed by the replays. Someone clever, and technologically proficient, should compile a highlight reel consisting entirely of that damn logo blotting out play after play--and send it to PSU's SID. |

So we are very efficient in set 1 and 3 games, but struggle in set 2 games. I'm getting deja vu. It eerily reminds me of previous years' woes.

Still bummed by the replays. If it makes you feel any better, the "Baylor Vision" logo on the Baylor/Marquette match is doing the same thing on its replays (although not quite as egregious...) |

Two facts from the broadcast announcer:
Taylor Leath set a new PSU career high with her 15 kills. Yup!
Tori Gorrell no service aces or errors last year. Yup! No serves either.

From what I've seen so far I really like our team. We should have a better-than-expected season. Next weekend will be a little more telling (vs Texas A&M).
So, lionsfan how would you rank PSU after this weekend? Surely they'll climb up from (what was it you have them at?) 16? |
