Big Ten / Pac 12 Challenge - 2 Match Discussion Thread (9/07 - 9/08)
Date: 9/07/2018 Opponent: at Stanford Place: Stanford, Calif. Time: 11:00 p.m. ET
Note: This video link might require a TV subscription of the Pac12 Network. Audio: gopsusports.com/watch/?Live=47&type=Live

These matches will give us some insight into what we can expect for this season. I cannot wait.
I found some free live streaming websites for the PAC12 network. The first is better, but both are HD - 720p and 1080p.

I'm getting nervous. I'm expecting an emphatic 0-3 loss...so will be happy with anything else

I'm getting nervous. I'm expecting an emphatic 0-3 loss...so will be happy with anything else Stanford isn't invulnerable -- but they are very, very good and have a junior class that already won an NC as freshmen. So it's not irrational to view them as the favorite. However, it's not a given that they sweep -- and even if they do, there are sweeps and there are sweeps. I know close doesn't count in volleyball, but if the team battles, and pushes Stanford, I won't be thrilled, but there will be things to build on. If they simply get blown out . . . well, that will be cause for at least some concern (or, put another way, will temper our collective enthusiasm.)

I'm predicting we win at least 1 set. I'll be ecstatic if we take them to 5.

Great start. The ladies seem relaxed and playing far better than I expected. Nia Reed has been fantastic. Lots of different shots.

Coach goes double sub at 20-19. Way to rely on the Freshmen.
