Purdue up early 1-0.
Just missed tying it up with a corner kick that was a nice slick play. Just barely over the goal post.

Easy with the bad vibes PSUMAUI. Penn State ties up the match 1-1(Elizabeth Ball) with a great set piece on a corner kick with 25 minutes left to play in the match! Purdue scores their second goal and goes up 2-1 with 15 minutes left in match. Penn State comes roaring back and scores their second goal(Laura Freigang) to tie match 2-2 with less than 4 minutes left in regulation! End of Regulation tied 2 apiece. Thought Penn State had winning goal in 2nd OT but it hit inside right post (from left to right shot) and bounced right back out! Ends in another "sister kisser"! Purdue's defense was dug in deep most of the match.

The good thing about the playoffs is that as you go deeper teams play less defensive and more attacking soccer, which plays into PSU's strengths.

She's still on the roster. Are you just referring to the fact that there is no news of her scoring goals? She has played in 13 of the 16 matches so far, I'm guessing she missed the last 3 games. She must be nursing an injury.

Well at least one of our teams beat Wisconsin today.
Women's soccer lost 0-1 to the Badgers today.
EDIT: Psumaui beat me by a minute.

I just found this tidbit on the BigSoccer forum, Frannie Crouse has a "broken collarbone - may be out for the balance of the season."

#5 seed Penn State out shot #1 seed Ohio State by a ton (24-4) but still match went to 2OT. With seconds left in 2OT Penn State's Laura Freigang scores from a shot in front of Ohio State's goalie to win and move to final on Sunday to take on the winner of #6 Wisconsin/#2 Northwestern! Going to upload match to Youtube and post here today if I can.
In other sports, #3 seed Penn State upsets #2 seed Maryland in Women's Field Hockey to advance to finals on Sunday against #1 seed Michigan.
